Tennis First Founder Ken Weatherley Receives MBE in New Years Honours List 2025
Ken Weatherley, has been awarded an MBE in the King’s New Years Honours List for services to young people, in recognition of his work to support young British tennis players.
Following his inclusion in the King's New Years Honours List, Ken Weatherley MBE said: "I am delighted to be awarded an MBE for my work supporting young tennis players from across Great Britain. It has been a privilege to be able to support so many talented individuals over the last 20 years through Tennis First, and see them flourish."
A former international tennis player himself, Ken founded Tennis First over two decades ago, with the aim of supporting young British players to reach their full potential, live out their sporting dreams and inspire others to pick up a racket.
Since its inception Tennis First has supported hundreds of aspiring players to take their first steps on their tennis journeys, including British Number 1’s Jack Draper and Katie Boulter, and Grand Slam Champions Emma Raducanu and Joe Salisbury.
