Klugman Reaches Final in Paris

Hannah Klugman finished runner-up in the Junior Girls’ Roland Garros singles event, after a week to be very proud of. At 16 years old, she is the first British player to reach the junior finals in 49 years.

Hannah fought back from a set down in both her quarter-final and semi-final matches, showing her grit and determination in front of a packed Court Simonne-Mathieu audience.

She spoke to the Parisian crowd after falling to Austrian Lilli Tagger 6-2, 6-0;

“I want to start off by saying congratulations to Lilli, honestly you deserve it so much. You broke me mentally and physically today. It’s been a long week, I’m proud of myself, I’m very tired it’s been a long week. I want to thank my team, for all of the hard work – it means a lot.

A huge week full of positives and a great achievement. Well done Hannah!
